BUYING GOAT

A whole goat is made of two “halves” (each side of the goat neck to tail).

We offer only whole and half goats due to the smaller total take home meat yield.

For a typical goat with a live weight of 80 pounds, you’ll receive an take home average of:

  • Whole: about 30-40lbs

  • Half: about 15-20lbs

*This estimation is approximate and varies on the cuts chosen.

  • Halal Butchering Available

FREEZER SPACE

The rule of thumb is one cubic foot of freezer space for every 35 – 40 pounds of packaged meat. 40 pounds of goat can fit in an empty average-size home freezer with 2.25 cubic feet of space.

COST

Each buyer is responsible for their share of the cost of the animal and the butcher processing.

Price is calculated based on price per pound x the hanging weight (head, legs, and internal organs removed).
